Original U.S. WWII USAAF Named Pacific Theater Blood Chit, Silk Map, Photo and Personal Memento Set

Original Items: One-of-a-kind set. Sergeant Joe W. Mc Gahen (ASN 38 321 907) was assigned as a weather observer to the United States Army Air Force in the Pacific Theater of Operations during World War Two. This collection of items belonged to him and returned with him after the war. It was all acquired from his estate. Included in this set are the following items:

-  WWII Printed Silk Chinese Flag with Chinese Characters and a temple stamp. It measures 10 inches by 8 inches. This would have been stitched to the back or inside lining of a U.S. Aviator flight jacket.

- WWII Printed Silk 48 Star American Flag and a message printed in 7 languages. Control number 62902, measures approximately 10 x 10 inches. This would have been stitched to the back or inside lining of a U.S. Aviator flight jacket.

- Original Dog Tag

- Original Separation Qualification Record.

- 3 x AAF Cloth Maps - Asiatic Series; No. 30 South Burma - No. 32 French Indo China - No. 34 South East China.

- WWII Army Issue Overseas Cap in wool size 7 1/4

- Dozens of original photos

- Wartime and post war documents

- Rosie the Riveter lunch box filled with medal ribbons, Patches, belt, insignia, mementos and more.
