Original Item: Only One Available. During WWII, the thoughts of soldiers were often on their loved ones back home, especially their significant others. There were many different types of "sweetheart" items available, such as makeup compacts, mirrors, rings, necklaces, pins, and of course, bracelets.
This is a very nice U.S. Army Air Forces bracelet, composed of 10 linked sections, with an end clasp that locks into the other end, securing the bracelet. The sections of this bracelet are marked with the U S A A F initials of the Army Air Forces, as well as the superimposed propeller over wings insignia of the unit, surrounded by 13 stars. The "locking" section is marked with the Torch of Liberty. The bracelet measures 7 inches over all not including the clasp section, and is marked STERLING on the back.
The bracelet is in very good condition, with a nice patina, and a lot of the original background darkening intact. Ready to display!
