Original U.S. WWII USAAF AN-6530 Goggles and AN6542 Summerweight Helmet with Avionics

Original Item. Only One Available This is a great Type AN-6542 Summer Flight Helmet, summer, in fair condition with an original set of AN-6530 goggles. Being part of the AN6540/AN6542/AN6543 series this helmet is similar to numerous variations which differed among each other only in details, like goggle straps, chin straps / cups and oxygen mask attachment devices.
The AN-6530 goggles are in fair shape, with the rubber entirely stiff but still intact and attached. The helmet retains its original velvet chinrest which is also tan-colored and connects fine to both sides of the helmet via a snap and buckle. The helmet also retains its wire for radio use. Overall a very nice set. The helmet retains its tag:
