Original Item: Only One Available. This is a wonderful example of the type of bandolier used by Military Police in times of unrest. The bandolier is able to hold 9 Gas/Smoke Grenade Canisters and 2 M1911 Pistol magazines. Unfortunately there are no gas grenades or magazines with this bandolier, but now you have something to pursue after purchasing this beautiful example!
All snaps function great, the adjustment slides work properly and the finish is retained quite nicely on all metal components. The overal condition would be considered “new old stock” as it appears to have never been issued out. Bandolier is J.Q.M.D. 1942 marked to backside for "Jeffersonville Quartermaster Depot".
Jeffersonville Quartermaster Intermediate Depot (JQMD) was a military warehouse located in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Originally covering four city blocks (the Quadrangle), it expanded to ten city blocks by the end of World War II. In World War II the depot produced $2.2 billion in goods for the war effort.
