This is a one-of-a-kind assortment of six original unissued U.S. WWII G.I. field gear pieces, including an M1943 entrenching tool, M1910 pick mattock, first aid pouch with sealed Carlisle bandage, pistol belt, magazine pouch, and a pair of tree-climbing spikes. The pieces remain in original, unmodified condition and are all appearing near unissued.

U.S. soldiers entered WWII with a mixture of equipment patterns developed over several decades. Older M1910-pattern components continued in use alongside newer wartime designs such as the M1943 entrenching tool, and replacement equipment was introduced gradually rather than all at once. As a result, an individual soldier's field equipment could include pieces of several different patterns and manufacture dates.
