Item Description

Original Items: Only One Lot of 7 Available. This is a wonderful assortment of deactivated and inert ordnance. We believe the grouping of items to have been apart of some sort of explosives training kit, morre than likely for an Engineering School or Explosive Ordnance Disposal School. Regardless of where the items originated from, they would make for an excellent display!

Unloaded or dummy grenades, artillery shell casings, and similar devices, which are cut or drilled in an BATF-approved manner so that they cannot be used as ammunition components for destructive devices, are not considered NFA weapons. This example is in total compliance and is NOT AVAILABLE FOR EXPORT.

- M7A1 AT Mine Dated 1945: The M7 is a small, metal-cased United States anti-tank blast mine that was used during the Second World War. It was based on the British Hawkins grenade. Approximately 2.5 million were produced before production ceased, and although it has long since been withdrawn from U.S. service, it can be found in Angola, Burma, Cambodia, Chad, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Korea, Lebanon, Myanmar, Somalia, Thailand, and Zambia.

- x4 High Explosive TNT 1 Pound Block: Originally used as a yellow dye, TNT was not used as an explosive compound until 1902, when the Germans incorporated trinitrotoluene into the production of artillery shells. Since then, TNT has been mainly used in the production of munitions, or military weapons, such as grenades, bombs, and rockets.

- M51 Blasting Cap Test Set: This test set was developed as a replacement to the blasting galvanometer to test the continuity of blasting circuits. The M-51 is hand held, plastic bodied with a protruding squeeze handle. There are 2 screw type contacts on either side. There is a red test light near the corner of the body. When the handle is depressed a minute amount of current is generated and passed through the contacts and the blasting circuit. If the blasting circuit is continuous and has less than 200 ohms of resistance, the test light will be illuminated. If the circuit is not continuous or there is greater than 200 ohms of resistance, the test light will not illuminate.

This is a fantastic grouping, one that comes more than ready for further research and display.
