Original U.S. WWII Son-in-Service Plaque in Original Box Presented to Employee of Chance-Vought Aircraft - Maker of Corsair F4U

Original Item. One-of-a-Kind. The Vought F4U Corsair is an American fighter aircraft that saw service primarily in World War II and the Korean War. Designed and initially manufactured by Chance Vought, the Corsair was soon in great demand; additional production contracts were given to Goodyear, whose Corsairs were designated FG, and Brewster, designated F3A.
This is a great piece, a son-in-service plaque which was made and shipped to an employee of Chance-Vought whose son joined the Armed Forces. The plaque itself measures 4 ¾ x 5 ¾” and has a small paper to the back reading:
