Original Items. Only One Available. This is a great set of 2 guidebooks published by “The Infantry Journal” meant to teach American soldiers all they need to know about “the German Soldier” and “the Jap Soldier”. Both books measure roughly 6 ¾ x 5 ¼” and are in great condition, likely never having been read.
The German Soldier covers the history of the German soldier, how their loss during World War I allowed for AH to come to power, and the exploits of the German Army in World War II thus far, meant to prepare the soldier for facing them. This book was published in February 1944 and is a first edition. It is 97 pages long.
The Jap Soldier covers the daily rituals of the Japanese soldier and attempted to explain why they are so well-trained and devoted to their cause. It delves into Pearl Harbor and the other atrocities Japan had committed in World War II as justification for being there fighting. This book was published in 1943 and is a first edition. This one is a bit longer than its German equivalent, at 125 pages.
This is a great pair of manuals that will fit well into any U.S. WWII collection, ready for further research and display!
