Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice WWII Issue "Packing box M1917" ammunition crate for 240 A.P. .50cal Linked Ball Cartridges, as used by the legendary Browning M2 "Ma Deuce" heavy machine gun. The front of the crate still bears the original stenciled packing information:

The crate measures approximately 18.5"W × 13 ½"H × 9 ½"D, and is constructed using nailed notch corners. It is a mid to late war example, and is painted wood with the correct yellow painted lettering.
Overall condition is very good, with the lid actually retained, with all six washers to secure it shut, although two are replacements.
