Original Item. One-of-a-Kind. This is a gorgeous wooden insignia sign for use by SHAEF, the Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Force, commanded by General Eisenhower. The Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Force was the headquarters of the Commander of Allied forces in north west Europe, from late 1943 until the end of World War II. U.S. General Dwight D. Eisenhower was the commander in SHAEF throughout its existence. The position itself shares a common lineage with Supreme Allied Commander Europe and Atlantic, but they are different titles.

The wooden sign has great depth, with the flaming sword its own piece of wood attached on top, with a raised border along the edge. The red yellow and green rainbow retains all of its paint. The sign measures 12 ⅝ x 14 ⅝” and retains a hook in the back for hanging, though it is a bit deep in the wood.
