Original Item. Only One Available. This is an original D-Day Eisenhower “Message to the Troops” letter as issued to allied forces after the Normandy Landings in June 1944, stating that their task is finished. This was the last communique from SHAEF. The letter measures 6 x 9” and is in fair condition with some basic folding and light staining, with minor tearing along the edges including one on each side and a nip on the bottom. Interestingly, this example has a remnant of the original stationary watermark in the bottom right corner, reading Edwards.
