  • Original Item: Only One Available. The 101st Airborne Division’s “Screaming Eagles” nickname originates from their insignia – a bald eagle on a black shield. The eagle on the patch is named “Old Abe” in honor of President Abraham Lincoln and was originally the mascot of a Wisconsin regiment during the Civil War.

This is a rare white tongue 101st Airborne Division with white thread on the reverse side of the patch. The background of the patch is black twill. This is an excellent condition desirable patch that is extremely hard to find. Does not glow under a black-light indicating pre-1945 production.
