  • Original Item: Only One Available. This 28½ x 40" World War II Propaganda poster was designed in 1942 by the well known American artist Norman Rockwell (1894-1978) of the Saturday Evening Post. It was printed by the U. S. Government Printing Office. A GI gestures for others to follow him as he charges forward. Beside him are listed the battles and reads:

We Have Just Begun to Fight!

    Pearl Harbor
    Bataan
    Coral Sea
    Midway
    Guadalcanal
    New Guinea
    Bismarck Sea
    Casablanca
    Algiers
    Tunisia.

    OWI Poster No. 62.
    U.S. Government Printing Office: 1943-O-527284

Interestingly, in the top left corner is a stamped date, June 25th, 1943. The poster has heavy fold markings with the bottom left corner ripped off, but otherwise there isn’t any serious damage to the poster. The Poster has been folded, as it was originally for mailing to various government locations around the country. Offered in excellent condition with full color retention. Unframed.
