This is a rare example of a leaflet dropped by U.S. forces onto Japan to convince its soldiers not to fight, as their leadership would be evacuated just as they were left to die to the Americans. This example depicts two soldiers manning a machine gun watching as two officers board a plane to leave.
The leaflet is numbered 112 out of a series. The back discusses the depiction and attempts to convince the Japanese soldiers to surrender. The leaflet measures roughly 7 ¾ x 10.
