Original U.S. WWII Photo of Paratroopers in Full Gear with M1 Carbines & Boot Knives - Damaged - 11 x 14”

Original Item. One-of-a-Kind. This is a lovely clear large-scale photograph of two American Paratroopers standing in front of a Jeep in Europe. The photograph measures 11 x 14” and has some serious damage, but shows fantastic details relating to their gear.Both men are wearing jump jackets with Airborne scroll patches on their shoulders, with Paratrooper US Flag armbands pinned to their right sleeves. They appear to be wearing M1943 Double buckle combat service boots, with the man on the left having an M3 fighting knife & sheath attached to his right ankle. They’re both carrying M1 Carbines as well as wearing M1 helmets with netting, and the man on the right appears to have some foliage attached to his helmet net.The bottom left border of the photograph is entirely eaten away at, with some small bits of damage to the photograph in the center as well. This example would really look best framed. There are unfortunately no names on the back.A really tremendous original photograph, ready for framing and display.
