Original Items: Only One Set Available. This is an appealing assortment of original U.S. WWII personal effects, hygiene supplies, protective equipment, and comfort items of the types commonly carried, issued, or used by American servicemen during the war.

The original items include:

- Gas Mask Waterproofing Kit M1 with wax-sealed puck, metal pieces to seal tube, and sealed instructions. Excellent.
- Set of fur-lined eye goggles marked MIL-G-4085 TYPE I / AMER. OPTICAL CO. in storage sleeve.
- WWII Blister Gas Cover Sealed In Original Wrapper, dated December 9, 1944.
- Tin of Merit Medicated Powder, still some inside.
- Box of Marlin shaving cream but the tube cover has heavily corroded so there is a white powder coming off of it. We have isolated it in its own bag to keep it from harming other pieces of the group.
- Gillette Shaving kit in plastic tin with razors.
- Tin of Anacin Analgesic tablets, still full.
- Box of XPAR Latex gum, empty.
- Sealed pack of Wrigley’s Spearmint gum, 1932 patent label.
- Pack of American Red Cross playing cards, dated March 5th, 1945. Aviator Pinochle Playing cards. Box has some wear and tearing. Appears complete.
- Pack of tissues with lots inside.
- Unused V-Mail packet.
- Shaving brush.

Personal hygiene supplies, sewing kits, shaving equipment, playing cards, and small comfort items were important parts of a serviceman’s daily life. American Red Cross ditty bags were used to distribute and store practical personal items, particularly for troops serving overseas or recovering in hospitals.

The combination of the complete M1 Gas Mask Waterproofing Kit, American Optical goggles, sealed 1944 Blister Gas Cover, Merit powder, Gillette shaving equipment, full Anacin tin, sealed Wrigley gum, 1945 American Red Cross playing cards, unused V-Mail packet, tissues, and shaving brush makes this a particularly varied collection of WWII personal material. Together, the items provide an unusually detailed look at both the practical and recreational side of an American servicemen's daily routine.
