Item Description
Original Item. Only One Available. This is a stellar example of a WWII American paratrooper’s “Let Down” rope still tied up properly. They were used in the event they would land in a tree or building roof to "let themselves down" to the ground. This is the first example we have been able to offer, and there is very little reference to them. This is the Type II rope and measures roughly 19” when all bound together, and both ends of the rope are visible with their original white cloth wraps.
The rope is in phenomenal untouched condition, the fragile strings still all intact. Both pieces of tape are still on the ends, and there are only a few fraying strings on one side.
This is an extremely hard to find piece of WWII Paratrooper gear, and would be a fantastic addition to any collection. Comes ready for further research and display.
