  • Original Item. One-of-a-Kind. The P-51D 'Little Doc' was engaged in aerial combat with four German Me 262 jet fighters on April 5, 1945. After damaging one 262, Lt. Cowley in 'Little Doc' was hit, and Cowley bailed out. Though wounded, Cowley landed safely in Belgium and returned to his unit. This aircraft was excavated in 2006.


    This is a fantastic fragment of the P-51D “Little Doc” attached to a frame with the aircraft’s history, Copyrighted and signed by Ron Cole in 2017. This is a limited edition run, numbered 32/50.


    The frame measures 8 ⅞ x 11 ⅜” and the piece is attached to the front of the frame, not inside of it.
