Original Item. Only One Available. This is an excellent assembled U.S. WWII pistol belt rig consisting of an M1936 pistol belt, a 1942-dated Milwaukee Saddlery Co. leather holster for the M1911/M1911A1 pistol, a 1943-dated double magazine pouch, and a 1942-dated first aid pouch containing a sealed Carlisle bandage. The combination is representative of the type of sidearm equipment worn by officers, NCOs, and other personnel issued the M1911 or M1911A1 pistol during WWII.
The set consists of the following:
- Original WWII issue M1911 leather holster. It is marked MILWAUKEE SADDLERY CO. 1942 on the back, and embossed U S in an oval on the flap, indicating that this was a military issue holster.- Original WWII issue M1936 pistol belt: Not marked that we can find.
- Original WWII issue M1911 double magazine web pouch: Marked B.D. INC. 1943.
- Original WWII issue first aid pouch marked CADILLAC FABRICS 1942.
- Original WWII Carlisle bandage in sealed but heavily dented condition.
The combination of the 1942 Milwaukee Saddlery holster, M1936 pistol belt, 1943 B.D. Inc. magazine pouch, 1942 Cadillac Fabrics first aid pouch, and sealed Carlisle dressing makes this a very complete and visually strong WWII sidearm equipment display. While the components should be regarded as an assembled period rig rather than a documented original grouping, each piece is an appropriate wartime item and together they present an excellent representation of U.S. pistol equipment from WWII.
