Original Items: Very Few Available. These are incredible, finding them was like opening up a time capsule. Pre-WWII 1930s United States Air Corps pilot wings in silver-plated brass manufactured by Gemsco of New York and maker marked on reverse. Additionally each wing comes still pinned to the original cardboard INSIGNIA JEWELRY backing and some are still wrapped in the celluloid plastic with $1.25 price tag label attached to the front from HOOK-FAST in Roanoke, Virginia.
All wings measure approximately 7/8" in height and 3-1/16" in width. are in excellent condition but do show signs of storage and some discoloration is to be expected. To order one with celluloid and wrap please choose "hand select" option and ask for "Celluloid Wrap". Please note that the celluloid wrap will have some level of tearing and be in delicate condition.
Typically these wings sell for over $300/ea and thats without the original cardboard backing!
