  • Original Item. Only One Available. This is a very nice early WWII white summer flight helmet worn by a Navy or Marine pilot in the early stages of the war, with a scarce set of AN-6530 goggles.

In 1943, the AN-6530 design served as a product modification of the USAAF B-7 goggle produced by Chas Fischer Spring Company of Brooklyn, New York. Contracts for AN-6530 goggles were awarded to Chas Fischer Spring Co. and American Optical. This set is in good shape but the paint on the backing shows heavy cracking and wear.

The flight helmet shows good service wear and some staining. There are pockets in the ears with small felt pads inserted to protect the ears. The snaps are marked UNITED CARR, and the chinstrap buckle is still functional in good shape.

A great set, ready for further research and display.
