Original Item. Only One Available. This is an interesting WWII ship telephone which still retains its original data plate. The phone retains its handset although the wire is in rough condition.
During WWII the U.S. navy fielded various parts of dial telephones kept onboard the ship, and this is the Type F bulkhead telephone, which could be installed in any station except those on weather decks. The type F telephone is a non-watertight unit designed for mounting on a bulkhead or on the side of a desk. It consists essentially of a metal housing on which are mounted the handset, dial, and ringer. The line connections are made at a terminal block inside the housing.
