Original Item. Only One Available. The Air Medal (AM) is a military decoration of the United States Armed Forces. It was created in 1942 and is awarded for single acts of heroism or meritorious achievement while participating in aerial flight.
This is an outstanding example, one of the best we have ever had. This Navy issue Air Medal comes in its original presentation case and in the original shipping box! There is a ribbon with two gold stars and a lapel pin on the original paper.
The medal is not engraved but retains the majority of its original gilt finish, wow! It is denoted as Navy by the wrap brooch and by the smaller presentation case. The set in the shipping box measures 6½ x 4 x 1¾”.
