Original Items. One-of-a-Kind Set. This is a great dog tag & pocket watch group identified to Chief Boatswain’s Mate John Lawrence Larson, who served with Motor Torpedo Boat Squadrons in the Seventh Fleet during the final stages of World War II.
The dog tags are retained on their original braided cord, and show his serial number as 320-78-71, and is marked USNR-AB / TG/42-P.
The pocket watch comes in its original small leather pouch, and is a Precision watch by Gruen, marked Veri-Thin. The back of the watch has engraved crossed anchors over JOHN L. LARSON. The watch still works, although we cannot guarantee it will continue to work.
The pilot’s wings come in their original case by American Insignia Co. They are marked STERLING + 1/20 10K. The case is damaged with tears along the edges.
We couldn’t find very much on his service outside of his unit, so there is more research to be done!
