Original Item: One-of-a-kind. This is an original ZEPHYR model U.S. Commander (or higher rank) visor cap in naval white. it was made by BANCROFT who was known for the very finest quality hats. It features wicker frame construction with wool topped leather visor with bullion oak leaf embroidery and a silver American eagle cap badge with a gold chinstrap.
The sweatband is embossed with ZEPHYR in gold, the crown bears the BANCROFT label and there is still a paper tag on the back with the size 7. The leather sweatband is in very good supple condition.
The cap is in very good condition, with only minor staining to the fabric but no damage or holes anywhere. This is a great chance to pick up an original WW2 Commander's visor cap!
