Original U.S. WWII Navy Commander Blue Peaked Visor Cap by Carr Mears & Dawson
- Original Item: One-of-a-kind. This is an original U.S. Captain / Commander (or higher rank) visor cap in naval blue. It was made by Carr, Mears & Dawson who was known for fine quality hats. It features wicker frame construction with wool topped leather visor with bullion oak leaf embroidery (scrambled eggs) and a silver bullion American eagle over gold bullion anchor cap badge with a gold chinstrap. The sweatband is supple leather and the crown bears a Carr, Mears & Dawson label. The cap is in very good condition with no staining, no damage nor holes. A wonderful named cap from an officer who served during WWII. Approximate size is US 7.
