Original U.S. WWII Named USMC P42 Reversible Camouflage HBT Trousers
Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice named pair of HBT Camouflage Uniform trousers, part of the USMC 1st pattern reversible or P42 camouflage uniform. These cotton HBT (Herring Bone Twill) Camouflage trousers were issued to Marines at the beginning of WWII. Unlike the Army camouflage uniforms, the Marine corps uniforms were completely reversible, which along with their reversible helmet covers, allowed them to adapt to different types of terrain. They have a full set of pockets regardless of which side is being worn on the outside.
This set of trousers measures about 31 inches at the waist, with an inseam of 29 inches. Each side is marked A.J. TURNER / U.S.M.C. on the waist with a black in stamp. The condition is very good, though these do show wear, and light tearing in areas. The original buttons still function, but they do show a bit of rust, which has stained the fabric a bit.
A very nice set of USMC HBT Camouflage trousers, ready to display!
