  • Original Item: One-of-a-kind. This jacket is named to Staff Sergeant CHARLES F. FRANZ (ASN 33181708) from Maryland.

Size 36 WWII US Mackinaw Coat "jeep jacket" is a fantastic example of this highly recognizable piece of clothing. It is the 3rd pattern of this type. All buttons and straps are present. Left shoulder bears a tank destroyer patch and both sleeves have Staff Sergeant chevrons. The interior is fully lined in green wool. There is a size tag which indicates this is a size 36. The manufacturer tag is absent. Jacket is offered in very good condition.

Also included is an original enlisted man's pass dated April 1944 for a visit to Philadelphia, PA and named to CHARLES F. FRANZ as well as an original Stras And Striped August, 1944 dated newspaper and some research material.

Overall a very nice jacket with provenance and documented research.
