  • Original Item: Only One Available. From 1939 onward, the standard issue US Army soft cap was the garrison cap. Also known as overseas cap, pisscutter, or sidecap. Although there were variations in the lining styles, the pattern was consistent throughout WW2.

This example is an original WWII issue wool overseas cap. This overseas cap was issued to an officer in the parachute infantry as evident by the blue colored parachute patch and the officer’s black & gold piping.

The interior is in good shape with the same tan color as the exterior. There are initials, F.P.C., but no other markings. Size seems to be around a U.S. 7 / 56cm. Hat is offered in very good condition, with the expected wear and fading due to age.
