This is a very interesting M49A2 mortar round which was never finished at the factory. It is entirely void of paint and markings, and has a partial unfinished fuze. There is a threaded piece stuck in the bottom so it does not stand up on its own. The fuze is still removable for inspection of the interior.
There are no markings anywhere on the round, and there is oxidation peppering across the exterior.
A great unfinished round, ready for further research and display.
