Original Item: One-of-a-kind. This is a WW2 theater customized M4 Bayonet with the addition of a double row knuckle duster. The blade is in excellent condition, and does not appear to have been used much, and is still sharp. The only wear seems to be runner wear, as well as some oxidation. The original finish and factory grind are almost completely present. The grip is comprised of stack leather washers and incorporates finger grooves.
Included is an original post war scabbard which is marked, U.S. M8A1 PWH and in very good condition with no defects to note. The canvas is excellent, there are no chips on the fiberglass scabbard shell, and the metal finish is good on all components. According to research, maker PWH was actually the Pennsylvania Working Home for the Blind. There were many Korean and Vietnam war era contracts that involved companies that employed the blind, which in the pre-computer era did not have many choices for employment.
