  • Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice genuine WWII U.S. Army M4 Carbine bayonet fighting knife, with an original M8A1 scabbard. Nicely marked U.S. M4 / IMPERIAL on the blade side of hand guard for the desirable maker, Imperial Knife Co. of Rhode Island. To the left of this is the U.S. Ordnance "Flaming Bomb". The blade is in good condition, showing light runner wear and no sharpening, with nearly all of the original finish still intact. There are no major dents or dings that we can see, and the crossguard, handle, and pommel are all tight to the blade.

The bayonet still has the original WWII issue rubber/leather washer grip, which appears to have either been painted or just heavily worn. The pommel is held on by the correct "Starburst" peening pattern used by many makers during WWII. With the flaming bomb proves this is definitely a WWII example, and not a later reissue.

It comes in a post war issue OD green fiber scabbard marked U.S. M8A1 / PWH, also in offered in very good condition. There is some wear to the scabbard, but it is still solid. According to research, maker PWH was actually the Pennsylvania Working Home for the Blind. There were many Korean and Vietnam war era contracts that involved companies that employed the blind, which in the pre-computer era did not have many choices for employment.

Ready to display with your WWII issue M1 Carbine!
