  • Original Items: Only One Set available.Totally inert and demilitarized according to BATF guidelines with hollow body and inert fuses. These grenades and flares cannot be converted to an explosive devise and are not available for export.

    - 1945 dated M21A1 Amber Signal Flares. These are designed to be fired from a M1 rifle, to a height of 200 to 300 meters. The flare will then hang from a small parachute and float to the ground while illuminating a large area. Measures approximately 10" long and 1.7" in diameter.

    - WWII M23 Rifle Green Smoke Streamer Grenade - These grenades are used only for signaling purposes. They produce green, red, violet or yellow smoke streamers. The M23 and M23A1 consist of three basic parts: a steel stabilizer tube assembly, a fuze and a body. The body is filled with a burning type smoke charge which contains a dye to color the smoke. The surfaces of the smoke charge within the body are coated with a starter mixture charge (to facilitate ignition). A small air hole opening in the nose is covered by a piece of tape (to protect the filler against moisture). The tape must be removed prior to firing. Measures approximately 9.5" long and 2" in diameter.

Both offered in good condition, these are very hard to find examples of genuine WWII issue rifle grenade and flares.
