  • Original Item. Only One Available. This is a very interesting fighting knife made using the triangular blade of a U.S. M1917 “Knuckle Duster” Trench knife and mounting it onto a wooden handle, complete with a hand-made scabbard. The “runner wear” from the original scabbard is still visible on all 3 sides of the blade.

The handle of the knife is more akin to that of a tool, so this is definitely a theater-made piece. The crossguard was machined down, and there is a partial maker’s mark from whatever was used for the crossguard reading:

    CHICAGO(?)
    TRIPLEX

The metal piece at the top of the grip is crimped onto the grip several times as shown. A really great piece. Comes ready for further research and display.

    Dimensions:
    Blade length: 9”
    Overall length: 13 3/8”
    Scabbard length: 11 1/2"
    Crossguard: 2 3/8“
