Original U.S. WWII M1916 .45 Colt 1911 Leather Holster by Milwaukee Saddlery Co. - dated 1944

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very rare totally original M1916 holster, made by Milwaukee Saddlery Co. of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in very nice condition. It is marked MILWAUKEE SADDLERY CO. / 1944 on the back, and embossed U S on the flap, indicating that this was a military issue holster.
The leather body of the holster is a lovely honey brown, while the belt loop / clip holder has matured to a darker color. There is a "crack" in the leather lid, but it looks to be part of the leather itself, and not a split or cut. All stitches still intact, all brass parts still present with a bit of verdigris, and a steel WW2 style belt clip. The leather is still supple as well. Just perfect for a high grade WWII issue 1911 .45 pistol!
