Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very good original U.S. WWII M1 cotton web rifle sling, the wartime web pattern commonly associated with the M1 Garand rifle. Constructed from olive-drab cotton webbing with its characteristic metal hook, adjuster, and flat-backed buckle, this example shows genuine service wear while remaining substantially complete.
The sling is in good service-worn shape with minor staining to the OD green. It is a good wartime sling that will fit perfectly with your service-used M1 Garand Rifle. These are tough to find on their own. The steel end cap is heavily dented as shown. When laid out in its current configuration, the sling measures just under 32” long.
The combination of the olive-drab cotton web construction, flat-backed buckle, narrow adjuster, reinforced keeper, original hook, and honest service wear makes this a strong representative example of a WWII M1 web rifle sling and an appropriate period accessory for a service-used M1 Garand display.
