Original Items. Only One Lot Available. Activated on 29 May 1943 in Tunisia, 4th Ranger Battalion was a Ranger unit in the United States Army during World War II. After the success of 1st Ranger Battalion in the North Africa campaign, the Army saw the merit in small special operations units. Portions of 1st Ranger Battalion was split into 2nd, 3rd and 4th Ranger Battalions. The battalion was formed from American volunteers in North Africa.
This is a great lot of three WWII Ranger Battalion scrolls, two for the 3rd Ranger Battalion and one for the 4th Ranger Battalion. They each measure roughly 1⅞ x 3¾”. One of the 3rd Battalion scrolls has some material loss along the edges, but the others are in good condition.
They are each of good period construction. These are very difficult to find on their own. Comes ready for further research and display.
