  • Original Item: Only One Available. This is a fantastic example of a WWII era US Army Dress Blues Uniform Peaked Visor for a General Officer. The underside of the visor has a small name sticker identifying the owner as Brigadier General Hampton Anderson. General Anderson served with the 27th Division during World War I, with the New York National Guard through the 20s and 30s, and served through World War II to the Korean War before retiring in 1954. We haven’t been able to find a great deal on him, making this a fascinating research project.

The small tape tag with his name reads:

    HAMPTON ANDERSON
    NEW HYDE PARK, NY
    2ND CORPS

The cap is a gorgeous example by Luxenberg with bullion oak leaves and acorns on the front with a complete gilt chinstrap. Size is approximately 7¼.

Comes ready for further research and display.
