Original Item: Only One Set Available. This is an exceptional item, perfect for the static display or reenactor! This is a lovely M1941 Officers “Chest, Field, Tableware, Outfit”. The chest itself dates to late WWII while all of the contents are Korean War era into the early 1960s and possibly Vietnam. This was designed to bring the messhall to wherever the Officers were at while in the field off post.
The trunk was manufactured by Texas Trunks / San Antonio, Texas and does not have a date of manufacture present. The top of the lid still has a visible stencil which reads as:

The contents appear to be complete and are for an 8 man element. All tableware is stainless steel while the dishes are aluminum with dates from 1951 to 1960.

The chest measures approximately 14” x 13 ½” x 17 ¾” and is in wonderful condition. The only issues to report is the flip down utensil storage. The wood on the utensil storage is broken in a few places and is rather fragile, so use caution.
