  • Original Items. Only One Lot Available. This is a very interesting seven-piece group of original U.S. WWII through Korean War-era aviation data, identification, and warning plates, including a 1943-dated U.S. Navy Naval Air Station Pensacola plate, a 1942-dated North American Aviation data plate, a General Electric gimbal assembly plate, Pratt & Whitney engine plaque, and several cockpit or aircraft instruction placards. Together they make an excellent representative group of American military aviation hardware spanning the 1940s into the 1950s.
    The lot includes:

    - US Navy N.A.S. Pensacola data plate showing acceptance date as September 17th, 1943 with an overhaul date of October 1954. Has green paint on backside. 3 x 5 ¾”.

    - General Electric Gimbal Assembly data plate, ⅞ x 1 ⅞”.

    - Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Dependable Engines enamel plaque. 2” in diameter.

    - Diving Speeds Flaps plate, showing Down and Up speeds.1 x 3 ⅝”.

    - Arc-shaped STARTER plate. 1 x 2”.

    - WARNING TURN RADIO TO OFF AT END OF FLIGHT data plate, stamped on back  with GRC 39 stamp.

    - NORTH AMERICAN AVIATION INC. Model B-250 Data plate, dated July 27th, 1942. 1 ⅞ x 3”.

The combination of the September 17, 1943 NAS Pensacola plate with October 1954 overhaul date, General Electric gimbal assembly plate, Pratt & Whitney enamel engine plaque, diving-speed placard, STARTER plate, radio warning plate with GRC 39 reverse stamp, and July 27, 1942 North American Aviation Model B-250 data plate makes this a particularly varied aviation reference group. With dates spanning WWII into the Korean War period and several components still requiring exact aircraft identification, the lot offers considerable potential for additional research while presenting well as a compact display of American military aviation hardware.
