Original U.S. WWII Kinfolks 6 Inch Utility Knife with Correct “Kinfolks” Marked Belt Scabbard

Item Description

Original Item: Only One Available. This is an attractive WWII utility knife that is in excellent condition and comes with its original leather belt scabbard. It was manufactured by Kinfolks Knife Company, which was one of several companies producing similar knives. During WWII, there was a high demand for fighting knives, especially in the Pacific theater. Since not all soldiers were issued these knives, the private market for them was thriving.

This particular knife has a single edged clip point blade, which is a fairly typical design. However, unlike most knives of this type that come with wooden handles, this one features a beautiful stacked leather washer handle. There seem to have been several patterns of these knives that are unknown and like this one, they were only marked with the word "KINFOLKS" on the blade ricasso. The condition of the knife is very good, with no signs of post manufacture sharpening and even has original storage grease on the blade. It also comes with a lovely leather belt sheath, which has a retaining loop at the top. This sheath was a standard example that came with the knives and is marked “Kinfolks” on the face of the leather.

Here is a wonderful opportunity to acquire a Kinfolks Utility Knife in excellent condition, complete with a period-original scabbard. This would be an excellent addition to any collection of US military knives from World War II.
