  • Original Item: Only One Available. This is a good example of a circa 1944-45 fighting knife by Utica Cutlery Co., of Utica, New York. These knives were maxed commercially during the later phases of WWII, and were intended to be private purchase items for servicemen.

These knives are near identical to the US Marine Corps/ U.S. Navy MKII Fighting Knife. The ricasso is marked U.S. / UTICA CUT. CO.. The handle is marked KARLSEN. The finish is well-retained on the blade.

The leather sheath is correct for a KA-BAR and retains the leather securing strap and snap. The back of the sheath is also marked KARLSEN.

This is an excellent example of a seldom found WWII US Fighting Knife which would make a perfect addition to a US Military Edged Weapons collection.

    Dimensions:
    Blade length: 7”
    Overall length: 12”
    Crossguard: 2 ½”
    Scabbard length: 8"
