Original Item: Only One Available. This is a Irvin Standard Air Chute Parachute and Harness which is very similar to the Parachute Complete - Pilot, 24-Foot Back Type B-9. This is an excellent example of the parachute pilots would have worn during WW2.
This example, complete, with 24’ white silk canopy, all lines, steel rip cord, and a complete harness that is well marked as follows: IRVING STANDARD AIR CHUTE and dated in two places MAY 9, 44 and Dec 23, 1945.
This is a wonderful example of a WWII U.S. Army Air Force ’backpack style escape parachute.
