This is a very nice WWII issue cylinder smoke or gas grenade, complete with the original inert fuze. The tin plated sheet steel body still has a lot of the original plating, however the paint has all fallen off, so there is unfortunately no way to tell exactly which type of grenade it originally was. It has 6 emission holes on the top, and an additional three rows of 6 on the sides, which doesn't match the expected pattern for most. We assume that it is most likely an early example. before the large hole on the bottom was adopted.

The grenade measures 5 3/4" in overall length, and the deactivated M200A1 fuse on the top unscrews for inspection. It has the correct WWII Style "spoon".
