Original Items. One-of-a-Kind Set. This is a tremendous display set for any collection of Homefront items. This set of eight gold-rimmed glasses were sold as a set during World War II, and we are offering the complete set with an original advertising card in the original box! This is an offering you won’t see again.
The eight glasses depict pin-up girls in the Bomb Squad, Auxiliary Police, Medical Corps, Auxiliary Fireman, Messenger, Decontamination Corps, Air Raid Warden, and Demolition & Clearance Crew. All eight glasses have 22k gold along the rims and have 10oz capacity.
All eight glasses come in their original box along with the divider inside, and an outstanding advertising card showing the glasses.
The advertising card measures 4 ½ x 5 ⅜” and was meant to be a “raffle”. There are 20 small names on circular punched circles, and you would pay to receive a name. The twenty names would be sold, and the seal would be removed to show what name is the winner, and that person would win the set of Victory Tumblers. The card is unused and will make for an outstanding display with these great tumblers!
The original box measures 6 ¼ x 12 ½ x 5 ¼” and shows damage with wear to the edges. It is marked for Libbey Glass. This is an absolutely outstanding set with the original advertising card which puts it back into its wartime context. This would make for a great display in any homefront or WWII collection.
