Original Items: Only One Lot of 2 Available. The unannounced strike on Pearl Harbor on 7 December 1941 sent a deep shock-wave through America and its people. The country went to war in earnest, roused to avenge those lost in the sneak attack.
Soon after President Franklin D Roosevelt had proclaimed 7 December ‘a date which will live in infamy’, anti-Japanese paraphernalia and propaganda surfaced across the United States. “Jap Hunting Licenses” became popular in stores across the country.
This set includes two Jap Hunting License buttons of different sizes, one being 2½” and the other being 3½”. Also included is a certificate, measuring 5 x 9”, issued to “Kid Carson” by the Jap Hunting Association. Lastly is a small Japanese “Superior Private” collar tab.
