Original Item. One-of-a-Kind. This is a November 10th, 1944 dated U.S. Army Parachute School qualified parachutist certificate named to 1st Lieutenant Lorence J. Heying, ASN 01058542 for Lorence Joseph Heying. Heying served with the 11th Airborne Division, but we couldn’t find much more on his service. Also included is one of his calling cards from when he was a Captain, which is marked with his name in both English and Japanese, a really great detail.
The frame measures 8⅝ x 11⅝” and appears to have been done during the period. It’s in great shape and doesn’t appear to have ever been folded.
The calling card measures 1⅞ x 3⅜” and is in great shape with some staining, reading:

Lorence Joseph Heying was born March 26, 1921 in Cedar Grove, Iowa and died May 23, 2004 in Houston. Larry graduated from University of Houston, where he was President of Cavaliers and a member of Sigma Nu fraternity. He served in World War II as a paratrooper with the 11th Airborne and was recalled to duty for the Korean War; worked for Dresser-Magcobar in Trinidad, W.I.; Lima, Peru; Bogota, Colombia; London, England; and The Hague, Holland; returned to the United States and worked for Petroleum Information until retirement.
