Original U.S. WWII Framed Bubble Color Portrait of Soldier with Purple Heart & Bronze Star Medals - Moreland - 12 x 18”

Original Item. One-of-a-Kind. This is a tremendous framed portrait of a WWII soldier known only as “Moreland”, as his name is written at the top of the back of the frame. The soldier is enlisted and wearing Infantry collar insignia, but other than that there is no distinguishing insignia on the uniform. There is a Purple Heart Medal and Bronze Star Medal pinned to the portrait, which we checked and found that they are not engraved. If they were field issued awards, they would not have been engraved.
This portrait is a great research opportunity, as there shouldn’t be many Morelands who were both wounded and awarded the Bronze Star. The frame is a nice patriotic example in fair condition overall. It measures 12 x 18”.
