Original Item. One-of-a-Kind. Band of Brothers is a 2001 American war drama miniseries based on historian Stephen E. Ambrose's 1992 non-fiction book of the same name. It was created by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks, who also served as executive producers, and who had collaborated on the 1998 World War II film Saving Private Ryan. Episodes first aired on HBO from September 9, to November 4, 2001. Critically acclaimed, the series won the Emmy and Golden Globe awards for best miniseries.
This is a great framed set of five signatures of “Band of Brothers” survivors who took part in the Battle of Foy on January 13th, 1945. The frame measures 12¼ x 22¼” and has signatures of the five following men:
- Jack E. Foley, 1st Platoon Leader at Foy, “The Lost Platoon”.
- Darrell “Shifty” Powers, Sharpshooter, killing enemy sniper in Foy.
- Edward “Babe” Hefron, Machine gunner at Foy.
- Frank J. Perconte, Rifleman, wounded in the hindquarters at Foy.
- William “Wild Bill” Guarnere, severely wounded on January 3rd in the area of Bastogne.
The frame does not have a hanging wire and instead has velcro pieces on the top two corners, so some command strips will need to be acquired to properly hang this. A tremendous frame, ready for further research and display.
