Poster shows marines and amphibious vehicles moving through a jungle on Bougainville Island. Below the image are shoulder sleeve insignia for the 3rd Marine Division, the 1st Marine Amphibious Corps, the 1st Marine Air Wing, and the 2nd Marine Air Wing. The poster reads:

    The Third Marine Division, Reenforced, riding amtracs in to spearhead the landings on Bougainville Island, fought torrential rains, mud and jungle as well as enemy land and air forces - - and overcame all to lead the way to an important World War II victory.
